Are you an Advanced or Consultant Practitioner?
Summary: If so you will either already demonstrate the required knowledge and skills levels or are currently aiming to develop these.

But are you also experienced enough to:
· Actually be recognised as an expert?
· Contribute to practice development through research, publication and dissemination of your experiences or thoughts?
· Contribute to educational practice?
· Write and communicate via a variety of media?
These skills are highlighted as part of the responsibilities associated with Advanced and Consultant tiers. They are also the areas which help the profession develop and maintain the basis of evidence based and reflective practice; two essentials which serve to enhance development of the profession and its members at all levels.

A 30 credit M level module has been developed by the University of Wales, Bangor which aims to develop the skills associated with dissemination of information. Examples include: oral presentations, organising study days, writing for publication or even designing an information leaflet. Not only will this course provide further evidence that your profile complies with Advanced or Consultant level but it will also help provide the chance to influence the profession and raise your profile within it, making it also suitable for those at practitioner level.
